IWO Window is Here! New Virtual Space for Those of You Who Have Stories
INDRAMAYU Jaya News Com – The Online Journalists Association (IWO) of Indramayu Regency opens a public dialogue space through its newest program entitled Jendela IWO. This virtual event is part of the work program of the IWO Indramayu regional management and is an educational platform that is open to all elements of society.
This program is a transformation of the previous program known as Teras IWO. With the new leadership of PD. IWO Indramayu Regency under Ali Ma’nawi, who is familiarly called Almak, and the results of a joint discussion with the management, the name of the program was changed to Jendela IWO, with the tagline: Filter, Sharing, STOP HOAX.
“Filter means that every piece of information must be filtered first, checked for truth before being shared. After it is valid, then we can share it with the public, so that it does not become a hoax,” explained Almak, Thursday night, (05/22/2025).
This program is hosted by young host Taufid Chaniago, and does not only focus on government or political issues. Jendela IWO also opens up opportunities for speakers from various circles such as UMKM actors, business people, motivators, and inspirational figures to appear and share in this event.
“This program is not only present because of the development of digital technology, but more as an educational effort so that the world of journalism remains open and upholds the journalistic code of ethics,” added Almak.
Jendela IWO Editor-in-Chief Adi Iwan Mulyawan, also emphasized that Jendela IWO is expected to be a transparent forum in conveying information.
“We want Jendela IWO to be a bridge that conveys news openly and responsibly to the public, and prevents the spread of hoaxes,” he said.
With an open, educational, and collaborative concept, Jendela IWO is expected to be a forum for information that enlightens and strengthens media literacy for the people of Indramayu and its surroundings.
