Gapoktan of Dermayu and Sindang Villages Hold Evaluation Meeting for 2025 Planting Season
INDRAMAYU-JAYANEWS.COM- In an effort to increase production and support the national Food Self-Sufficiency program, the Head of Gapoktan Manggala Cakra Wiralodra of Dermayu Village and Gapoktan Dewi Sri of Sindang Village held an Evaluation Meeting for Planting Season I January – May 2025 and Preparation for Planting II June – October 2025 at the Saung Meeting Embung Jangkar of Sindang Village, Wednesday (05/14/2025).
Attended by the Head of Sindang Village Carnita, the Head of Dermayu Village Wasjudin, the Field Extension Officer (PPL) of Sindang Village Mamat Ruchajat and the Field Extension Officer (PPL) of Dermayu Village Sri Widyaningsih, and the Eratani Officer of Sindang District.
Kuwu Sindang Village Carnita emphasized that there needs to be better synergy, solidarity, and cooperation for all stakeholders involved in preparing for rice planting in June 2025.
“So that this joint food production increase program can be achieved optimally,” added Carnita.
Through this step, it is hoped that it will be able to increase rice production as a government program, namely National Food Self-Sufficiency.
The Field Extension Officer (PPL) of Dermayu Village, Sri Widyaningsih, advised all Gapoktan and Poktan along with their members to always synergize, comply with the planting schedule agreement, and utilize existing resources.
“This is very important in supporting efforts to increase the agricultural index and encourage increased production in a sustainable manner, so that the common goal of realizing food security and preservation can be achieved,” said Sri Widyaningsih.
The Eratani program aims to empower farmers by providing access to technology, funding, training, and marketing.
Eratani also focuses on creating a positive impact in society by integrating the principles of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in each of its initiatives. Eratani helps farmers utilize agricultural technology, such as drones for land mapping, fertilizer use, and insecticides efficiently, collaborates with financial institutions to provide access to financing for farmers, training farmers on good and modern agricultural practices, and helps farmers market their products by providing access to the market.
And it is hoped that collaboration can be established with various parties, such as banks, financial institutions, and state-owned companies, to achieve common goals in advancing the agricultural sector and focusing on sustainability in agriculture, both in terms of environment, social, and economy. ***
