Al Zaytun Community Learning Center Students Optimistically Welcome UPK
INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM – On Saturday, April 4, 2026, the atmosphere at the Al Zaytun Community Learning Center (PKBM) Bazaar Building felt different. It wasn’t just the first day back to school after the long Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr break. There was a sense of hope, a rekindled spirit that school is not merely an obligation, but a path to self-improvement.
Amidst the current climate that often leads many to give up, the Bazaar room bears witness: learning can begin at any time, by anyone, regardless of age.
The gathering and halal bihalal (gathering) activity, which brought together the administrators, tutors, and Al Zaytun Community Learning Center (PKBM) students, marked the beginning of a new chapter. Warmly delivered by the MC, Nurrohmah, the event began with a basmalah (prayer) followed by a vibrant recitation of Indonesia Raya (Indonesia Raya) three stanzas, a march, and the PKBM hymn, led by Sri Wahyuni, S.Pd.
The Sapta Janji Dharma Bakti (Seven Promises of Dharma Bakti) was sung in three languages: Indonesian, Arabic, and English, as if emphasizing that education is not just about knowledge, but also about commitment and values that transcend boundaries.
The momentum grew even more vibrant when the Head of the Al Zaytun Community Learning Center (PKBM), Dr. Ali Aminulloh, M.Pd.I., ME., opened his remarks with a simple yet touching pantun:
Coconut trees, their fruit is made into kitri
It tastes delicious eaten with fatin fish
We all wish you a happy Eid al-Fitr
We apologize for any mistakes.
But more than just words, he invited everyone present to realize one important thing: that they are part of a large family that has chosen education as a path in life.
“School at this PKBM is like a family,” he said. “And family is the most precious treasure, the most beautiful palace, the most meaningful poem, and a priceless pearl.”
The song “Keluarga Cemara” was sung together, bringing a warmth that cannot be faked. A togetherness born from a shared struggle: the desire to continue learning.
In the month of Shawwal, he reminded us that everyone is tested not only by worship, but also by change. “After Ramadan, there must be improvement. Otherwise, we will only find hunger and thirst,” he said.
In simple yet poignant language, he divided humanity into two: those who are honored for changing for the better, and those who are humiliated for remaining stagnant, or even regressing.
This message is especially relevant for students who will face the Equivalency Education Examination (UPK). Package C is scheduled for April 6–11, while Packages A and B are scheduled for May 11–16. Exams are no longer something to fear, but rather a gateway to glory.
“Exams are not to be feared,” he said. “But to prove that we are ready to move up a class in life.”
For the middle class, another challenge awaits: the computer-based Academic Ability Test (TKA). The world is changing, and education must be faced with new readiness.
He didn’t stop there, also encouraging students, especially those in Package C, to continue their education at a higher education institution, namely IAI Al-Azis. Because learning, in truth, never stops at one point.
This message seemed to smack of the reality of today’s society, where many people stop learning due to age, circumstances, or feelings of inferiority. Yet, in that room, dozens of people proved otherwise.
A total of 72 Package C students then attended the New Student Admissions socialization from IAI Al-Azis, presented by Usth. Dewi Utami, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Usth. Anjar Sulistiyani, S.Pt., M.Si. New hope was rekindled: the future always has a door for those who knock.
Event after event flowed: the symbolic handover of UPK exam papers, a prayer led by Mustain Sulthoni, S.Pd., and the mushafahah (religious study group) where hands met in warmth. One by one, they shook hands, offering forgiveness and encouraging encouragement.
In between, simplicity served as a unifying force. The snacks each student brought were enjoyed together, and the tutors even received snacks from the students. It was a small scene, yet one filled with meaning: that education isn’t just about giving, but also about strengthening each other.
This activity, broadcast on LogNews TV, live on TikTok, and Prima FM radio, carried a broader message: that the spirit of learning must never be extinguished.
In a world that often offers shortcuts, PKBM Al Zaytun teaches something increasingly rare: the perseverance to keep moving forward.
Because truly, what differentiates people is not how quickly they succeed, but whether they choose to continue learning… or stop halfway.**
