Poem:
Boundless Solidarity Towards a Golden Indonesia
By: Ali Aminulloh
Today we stand before the wounds of our nation,
When Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra are wrapped in grief,
The ground cracks, the waters overflow, the sky sings,
Indonesia trembles with one feeling: wounded humanity.
We witness souls falling without warning,
Wealth and hopes crumbling in an instant,
This is not merely destiny,
But a warning of human negligence that has forgotten its meaning.
We acknowledge that greed has blinded our conscience,
Divine Word has been set aside, lust has become the commander,
Nature has been exploited without feeling or ethics,
Until its wrath has become the most obvious language.
Today we learn from the wounded earth,
That it is humans who depend on the universe,
It is not nature that needs humans,
It is humans who must maintain its balance.
When nature is no longer friendly and vocal,
Humans feel the consequences of their actions,
So we pledge, before the nation and the Creator,
We will no longer live without civility and collective awareness.
On this National Social Solidarity Day, we declare,
We build philosophical awareness as a foundation,
We uphold ecological awareness as a guide,
We revive social awareness as a path of humanity.
From a clear and open heart without prejudice,
We weave a world that cares for each other,
Not a world that dominates and harms others,
But a civilization that is civilized, just, and humane.
We emulate Al Zaytun’s concrete steps,
Building civilization without destroying the universe,
Philosophical awareness gives birth to an ethical ecology,
Progress grows in harmony with the life that is protected.
So today we proclaim with one voice,
Solidarity Without Limits is the strength of the nation,
Disaster is not just grief that divides us,
But the bonds of solidarity that knit Indonesian friendship.
With solidarity, we rise together,
Transforming disaster into a call to love for others,
Treading the long road to a meaningful Golden Indonesia,
A civilized nation, a protected nature, and a triumphant humanity.
