Praise be to God, the Indramayu Regency Branch of the Sarbumusi Confederation is Officially Registered
INDRAMAYU -Jaya News .Com – Good news has arrived for laborers and workers in the City of Mango. Praise be to God, the Indonesian Muslim Trade Union Confederation (Sarbumusi) of Indramayu Regency is now officially registered administratively and legally.
This registration marks an important milestone after a lengthy process of obtaining legal status at the Indramayu Regency Manpower Office. With this official status, Sarbumusi Indramayu is now a legitimate forum for laborers, farmers, fishermen, and informal sector workers in the Indramayu region.
The Chairman of the Indramayu Regency Branch of the Sarbumusi Confederation, H. Anas Ghozali, expressed his gratitude for the achievement of this legal status.
“Alhamdulillah, this is the fruit of everyone’s patience and hard work. After being registered, Sarbumusi Indramayu will have more freedom to support its fellow workers. We can participate in the Tripartite LKS forum, monitor the minimum wage (UMK), and ensure that no workers are subjected to further oppression in factories, rice paddies, or at sea,” he said when met on Wednesday (June 10, 2026).
Sarbumusi itself is a labor union under the auspices of Nahdlatul Ulama, which is based on Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah Islam. In Indramayu, Sarbumusi’s main focus is defending the rights of farm workers, migrant workers, factory workers, and traditional fishermen, who have often been overlooked.
*Future Steps*
After being officially registered, the Sarbumusi Indramayu management will immediately accelerate with three main agendas:
1. *Membership Registration* – Opening registration to all workers in Indramayu free of charge.
2. *Labor Complaint Post* – Ready to receive reports regarding wages below the minimum wage, unilateral layoffs, and workplace accidents.
3. *Skills Training* – Collaborating with the Vocational Training Center (BLK) to improve the competitiveness of local workers.
4. *Construction of Places of Worship* – Every factory or company must provide a place of worship for workers.
“Sarbumusi’s doors are open to everyone. Whether factory workers, motorcycle taxi drivers, farmers, or household members, everyone is welcome to join. Because defending the vulnerable is a religious commandment,” emphasized H. Anas Ghozali.
With the registration of Sarbumusi Indramayu, it is hoped that the labor movement on the north coast of West Java will become more solid and dignified.**
