The Riau Journalists Association (PWMOI) and DNT Tour and Travel Slaughtered Four Cows on Eid al-Adha 1447 H
PEKANBARU-JAYANEWS.COM — In an effort to strengthen the spirit of brotherhood and increase faith and devotion to Allah SWT, the Riau Province Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the Indonesian Online Media Journalists Association (PWMOI) in collaboration with DNT Tour and Travel carried out the slaughter of sacrificial animals on the occasion of Eid al-Adha 1447 H.
The event was held at SDIT Milatul Khoir, Sungai Sibam Village, Bina Widya District, Pekanbaru City, on Thursday (May 28, 2026).
The head of the organizing committee, Fiqi Fernando, SE, stated that this year, PWMOI Riau and DNT Tour and Travel slaughtered four sacrificial cows. The sacrificial meat was then distributed to the Riau Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the Indonesian Muslim Association (PWMOI) and the DNT Tour and Travel outreach team through approximately 400 distribution coupons.
“With the slaughter of these four sacrificial cows, I hope that PWMOI Riau and DNT Tour and Travel will grow and prosper. Especially to the Chairman of the PWMOI Riau Regional Leadership Council (DPW), who is also the Owner of DNT Tour and Travel, H. Rio Kasairy, S.Sos., and his family. May their sustenance continue to flow smoothly and abundantly. Amen, O Lord of the Worlds,” said Fiqi.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the PWMOI Riau Regional Leadership Council (DPW), H. Rio Kasairy, S.Sos., stated that this was the first time PWMOI Riau had slaughtered sacrificial animals.
“For this first year, the distribution of sacrificial meat is still focused on the DPW administrators. Hopefully, next year we can also distribute it to the Regional Representative Councils (DPDs),” Rio said.
Rio also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all the PWMOI Riau administrators and the DNT Tour and Travel outreach team for their support and prayers for the smooth running of the event.
