Strengthening Media Savvy, Digital Literacy and Anti-Hoax Socialization Held in Indramayu
INDRAMAYU, Jaya News .Com – To raise public awareness of social media and prevent the spread of false information (hoaxes), a Digital Literacy and Anti-Hoax Socialization event was held at the PGRI Sindang Building, Jalan Wirapati, Indramayu Regency, on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
The event was attended by Pa Is, Densus 88, the Indramayu Kesbangpol, the West Java Kesbangpol, Naim as Secretary, and the Head of the West Java Division. The event aimed to equip the public with a better understanding of using digital media wisely, intelligently, and responsibly.
Participants were provided with materials on how to recognize hoaxes, verify information sources, and the importance of ethical communication in the digital space.
During the outreach, the speakers emphasized the importance of the public’s role in breaking the chain of hoax distribution, which can cause unrest, division, and other negative impacts on social life.
Through this activity, it is hoped that the people of Indramayu will become more discerning in filtering information, less easily provoked by unverified news, and become agents of digital literacy in their respective communities.
The Digital Literacy and Anti-Hoax Outreach activity received a positive response from participants, who expressed their hope that similar activities can continue to be held on an ongoing basis to create a healthy and safe digital space.**
