New MUI Board Members in Indramayu Regency Hold Ta’aruf, Invigorating New Spirit

INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS COM – KH. Syairozi Bilal, recently elected as Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) for Indramayu Regency for the 2025-2030 term, held a ta’aruf (introduction to the Quran) and social gathering with MUI Board Members.

The ta’aruf event was held at the Darul Falah Quran Memorization Boarding School in Kepolo Singaraja, Indramayu, on Saturday (January 17, 2026).

Numerous figures were present, including KH. Satori (Chairman of the MUI for Indramayu Regency for the 2020-2025 term), KH. Mahfudz (former head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs), H. Wahidin (former Head of the Social Welfare Division), figures from various Islamic organizations, academics, Islamic boarding school leaders, and others were also present.

In his remarks, KH Syairozi Bilal invited all new MUI administrators to work together to build a new spirit, unite in serving the community, and strengthen partnerships with local governments and vertical agencies, for the benefit of a constructive social order ecosystem.

Meanwhile, H. Adlan Daie, the host of this series of ta’aruf events and a prolific writer on socio-religious issues in national and local media, described the MUI ta’aruf event as a “melting pot.”

“This is the new MUI of Indramayu Regency, a melting pot, a gathering point for diversity across Islamic organizations, academics from various disciplines from various universities, and charismatic figures from Islamic boarding schools and the business world,” said H. Adlan Daie in a press statement on Sunday morning, January 18, 2026.

H. Adlan Daie further added that the MUI of Indramayu Regency, for the 2025-2030 term, under the leadership of MUI Chairman, KH Syairozi Bilal, embraces the vision of “Strengthening the Role of the MUI as Khodimul ummah and Shadiqul Hukumah.”

This means, H. Adlan Daie continued, that the MUI, as a servant of the people, is ready to partner with local governments and vertical institutions in the region to actively participate in providing a solid foundation of religious ethics for government programs.

“We ask for prayers and support from all elements of society. God willing, we will soon hold the inauguration of the new MUI Management and hold a Regional Working Conference to formulate the MUI’s priority agenda highlights for the next five years,” said H. Adlan Daie, concluding his press statement.**
