Indramayu Youth Reach for Dreams through Japan Scholarship Seminar
INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM – Dozens of Indramayu youth enthusiastically attended the Seminar on S1, S2, S3 Scholarship in Japan and Discussion on the Novel “AZKI: The Journey of Chasing Dreams” at the Indramayu Library and Archives Office, Monday, November 17, 2025. This event became an important push for young generation to build their capacity through literacy and international education.
The event was attended by three inspirational speakers, namely Prof. Dr.Eng. Ir. H. Imam Tahyudin, (link unavailable), M.Kom., M.M., Author of the Novel “AZKI”; Dr. A. Sudalim Gymnasthiar, M.Pd., Head of Indramayu Library and Archives Office; and Ahmad Khoeri, M.Pd., Community Literacy Volunteer (Relima) Indramayu and Manager of S16 Library.
In his speech, Dr. A. Sudalim Gymnasthiar, M.Pd. emphasized the importance of education as the best heritage for the next generation. “The achievements of parents in education certainly hope that their children will be more successful. Therefore, studying in Japan and discussing this book should motivate us all that success and happiness must be achieved with sincerity,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Khoeri, M.Pd. highlighted that literacy now has a much broader meaning. “Literacy is not just about reading books, but how every step of our lives is based on knowledge. Improving ourselves is an obligation, and one of them is learning from our own life experiences and others as a spark to make our lives better,” he explained.
The main speaker, Prof. Dr.Eng. Ir. H. Imam Tahyudin, encouraged the participants who want to pursue scholarships abroad. “Scholarships start with determination, perseverance, and patience in improving our quality of life. If we are sincere, success will follow. I wrote the novel AZKI as a portrait of my life journey that I want to share as an inspiration for anyone chasing their dreams,” he said.
The event also presented five scholarship paths to Japan, including MEXT, JASSO, and LPDP. The participants were enthusiastic, asking many questions about strategies to get scholarships and inspirational stories from the novel AZKI. This event is expected to encourage Indramayu youth to continue learning, dare to dream, and prepare for a better future.**
