Absolutely Right and Appropriate, President Prabowo Bestows the Title of National Hero to General Suharto

President Prabowo, as Head of State, bestowed the title of National Hero to the late General Suharto. This is absolutely correct and appropriate because:
First, he saved the nation by remaining based on Pancasila by leading the suppression of the G30S/PKI (Indonesian Communist Party).
Second, he built the nation systematically by implementing Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution purely and consistently.
Third, he built the nation with the Development Trilogy of Stability, Growth, and Equity, so that oligarchy and foreign interference could be controlled by the state.
The result was food self-sufficiency, cheap fuel, affordable staples, and the ability of farmers and fishermen to thrive.
It may not have been perfect, but it was still within reasonable limits. His services to the nation and state were immense.
Therefore, with prayers, may General Soeharto’s righteous deeds be rewarded continuously, so that God’s grace will always be poured out upon him in his grave. Amen.**
