The People Hope for Police Reform Through 3 Constitutional Law Professors

Now that Prof. Mahfud is a member of the Police Reform Commission, all legal practices carried out by police officers due to the opportunities for detournement/power abuse can be changed through the repositioning of the Police, its structure, and authority, as outlined in the Police Reform, to be followed up with amendments to the 1945 Constitution concerning the police and the Bill amending Law No. 2 of 2002 concerning the Police, and other related bills.
Hopefully, Prof. Mahfud MD will be consistent in his thoughts and statements.
Looking at the composition of the members of the Commission for the Acceleration of Police Reform, it appears that those who favor the status quo are actually stronger (many). There are indeed some who think reformistly, but unfortunately, they are opportunistic. Thus, the commission’s results were ultimately optimal… a compromise that ultimately “went nowhere,” aka image-building.
I hope my opinion is wrong, amen, yRa.
Three HTN professors are more capable if they are consistent with their thoughts and research findings.
Like evidence, three HTN professors received a score of 1, and five police generals received a score of 1, Prof. Otto, Deputy Coordinating Minister for Law & Human Rights from the advocates’ section, with a score of 1, and Suparman, Minister of Law, from the bureaucrats’ section, with a score of 1. The ratio of votes between police and non-police elements is 1 to 3. (**)
