Monthly Routine and 6th Anniversary of the Lintang Songo Council: Consistent Islamic Propagation through the Recitation of Maulid Al-Barzanji

INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM – The Lintang Songo Council held its monthly routine and 6th anniversary celebration as a form of gratitude for its consistent Islamic propagation through the recitation of the Maulid Al-Barzanji. The event took place solemnly at the Darul Ulum prayer room in Ujungaris Village, Widasari District, Indramayu Regency on Friday evening (October 3, 2025).

The series of activities began with a recitation of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday by Agis Robet and Wildan, the Munsyid of the Lintang Songo Council. The event then continued with a Progressive Youth Study and concluded with a thanksgiving meal of tumpeng (rice cone) as a sign of the congregation’s togetherness.

The event was attended by various community members, including residents of Ujungaris Village, students from the Majelis (Islamic board of directors), the Widasari IPNU-IPPNU (Islamic Youth Association) and the Widasari District Mosque Youth Association (Irmas). The presence of these diverse groups added to the vibrancy and solemnity of the commemoration.

In his remarks, Ustadz Tarkidin, the leader of the Lintang Songo Hadroh Assembly, stated, “This 6th anniversary should be a catalyst and spur for young people to consistently do good and be progressive,” he told the congregation.

In addition, Ahmad Khoeri, M.Pd., Library Manager of S16 Indramayu and a Community Literacy Volunteer (Relima) at Lokus Indramayu, also provided a literacy lesson. He emphasized the importance of youth making optimal use of their time. “Everyone loses time, except for those who are patient and willing to invite others to goodness. Young people must emerge as agents of strength and usefulness in society, facing the challenges of this highly sophisticated era,” he concluded.

Through this event, the Lintang Songo Council hopes to consistently uphold the tradition of Islamic propagation, strengthen brotherhood, and cultivate a young generation that is religious, progressive, and beneficial to society.**
