According to Sri Eko Sriyanto Galgendu, the essence of President Prabowo Subianto’s speech at the UN was the topic of a weekly discussion with GMRI (Indonesian Moral Reconciliation Movement) on Thursday and Monday, September 25, 2025. Prabowo Subianto’s foreign policy statements in his speech also manifested a national spirituality that expressed faith in God, a commitment to justice, and a sense of responsibility for the Indonesian nation on the international stage.
Joyo Yudhantoro, Gus Baidhowi, and Wowok Prastowo also agreed to examine the national spiritual values contained in President Prabowo Subianto’s impressive speech as a further study for GMRI during the informal discussion held regularly on Mondays and Thursdays, or Kamus-Seni. The President’s speech at the official forum of the 80th Summit of the World’s Nations was truly phenomenal, shifting Indonesia’s position in the worldview and making it worthy of consideration. At the very least, it is not merely a follower or participant, but has solidified Indonesia’s role as a guide for the future of the world’s nations.
The national spiritual values contained in President Prabowo Subianto’s speech at the UN implicitly and explicitly reflect the first principle of Pancasila, which serves as the Indonesian nation’s way of life and state ideology. The foundation of this first principle of Pancasila—Belief in One Almighty God—clearly guides the world to create peace not merely for political gain, but as a divine mandate entrusted by the Lord. Because peace and blessings, as written in the Quran (Al-Anfal 61 and Al-A’raf 96), will only come from faith and piety.
Similarly, with the Pancasila principle stating “Just and Civilized Humanity,” President Prabowo Subianto’s statement honestly and firmly defending the rights of the Palestinian people while offering security to Israel truly demonstrates a high level of spiritual awareness and understanding and is highly commendable. Social justice for all people—as the philosophy of the Indonesian nation and state—is only possible through a chivalrous attitude and character that consistently loves and cares for all humanity without exception.
The chivalrous attitude and character of the Indonesian people—for the global community—reflects a united attitude and a readiness to sacrifice by offering 20,000 peacekeeping troops through the UN to create peace and tranquility in Palestine. This declaration of willingness to provide assistance clearly reflects the consistent values of Indonesian nationalism, which contribute to the creation of a world peace atmosphere, as enshrined in the original Preamble to the 1945 Constitution.
President Prabowo Subianto’s people-centered and ethical diplomatic stance in international relations was expressed in a firm and strong, yet gentle, non-confrontational manner. This truly impressed him with a diplomacy imbued with ethical and solution-oriented values unique to the nation’s traditions and culture. It consistently prioritizes a distinctively people-centered approach and the spirit of deliberation, a part of Indonesian culture, inherited and nurtured through generations from the ancestors of the Indonesian archipelago, until it matured after agreeing to become one nation.
Therefore, it is quite clear that President Prabowo Subianto’s speech before representatives of all nations on September 23, 2025, aimed to galvanize the consciousness of nations through the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York. The spiritual content of Indonesian nationalism clearly and clearly positions Indonesia firmly in voicing global peace and justice. Indonesia’s statement conveying support for a solution between the two countries, Palestine and Israel, is part of global peace. Therefore, Indonesia is ready to play a role and make a real contribution by sending peacekeepers to the two countries that are still at war.The Indonesian nation, for and in service of peace and humanity.
President Prabowo Subianto’s moral diplomacy, aimed at positioning the Indonesian nation and state on the global stage, is not merely a show of effort to secure a cheap image, but rather a concrete manifestation of the Indonesian nation’s stance and commitment to building a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere in a harmonious world that does not violate humane and divine values.**
