If There is a Complaint, Do Not Upload it to Social Media First, Perumdam TDA Indramayu: Please Verify with the Nearest Branch/Unit
INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM – The Regional Drinking Water Public Company (Perumdam) Tirta Dharma Ayu (TDA) of Indramayu Regency has finally spoken up regarding the upload on social media that went viral regarding an administration fee of IDR 15,000 in the drinking water bill receipt.
The upload sparked discussion among netizens and customers, who questioned the legality and basis for determining the fee.
Responding to this, Public Relations of Perumdam TDA, Sutoni,Sunday July 6,2025, explained that the administration fee is an official provision imposed on group 2C customers, namely the category of Service/Agency customers.
“The customers being discussed are in category 2C (Service/Agency). According to official regulations, this group of customers is indeed charged an administration fee of IDR 15,000 per month,” explained Sutoni.
Sutoni further explained that the legal basis for determining the drinking water administration fee has been regulated in Article 21 of the Indramayu Regent Regulation Number 47 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Regional Regulation Number 8 of 2019, which was then updated through the Indramayu Regent Regulation Number 5 of 2023 dated January 5, 2023. In addition, the adjustment of the administration fee also refers to the letter of approval of the Indramayu Regent Number 690/333/Eko, dated February 7, 2023, concerning changes in administration fees based on customer classification. All of these provisions are part of the Indramayu Regent’s Decree Number 690/Kep.65-Eko/2023 concerning the Determination of Drinking Water Tariffs in 2025.
“Therefore, we emphasize that the administration fee is not an illegal levy. It is an official component listed on the drinking water bill receipt, is part of Perumdam TDA’s income, and has been determined through regional regulations and approved by the Indramayu Regent as the Authorized Capital Owner,” said Sutoni.
To that end, Perumdam TDA appeals to customers and the general public not to rush to conclusions and spread information from social media without first clarifying.
“If there are customers who feel strange about the bill or want to file a complaint, we invite them to contact the official Perumdam TDA service by including their name, customer ID, and address. You can also come directly to the nearest branch office or service unit,” added Sutoni.
Perumdam TDA ensures that it is open to criticism, complaints, and input from customers and is ready to provide direct explanations if needed.
“We are very open. If there are customers or the public who want clarification or submit complaints regarding drinking water services, we are ready to serve and provide explanations,” concluded Sutoni.**
