Immersion by Lexus Presents ‘Continuum’ Art Exhibition with Artist Oliver Wihardja
JAKARTA-JAYA NEWS.COM – Lexus Indonesia, through Immersion by Lexus, reaffirms its commitment to providing amazing experiences that transcend the automotive world by holding an art exhibition titled “Continuum: Through the Lens of a Pure Spirit.”
The exhibition runs from January 31, 2026, to March 7, 2026, at Immersion by Lexus, Menara Astra, Jakarta.
The “Continuum” exhibition is a collaboration between Immersion by Lexus and Oliver Wihardja, a disabled artist, presenting a series of reflective paintings about life, culture, and everyday life.
Through an honest and personal approach, Oliver’s works align with Lexus’ Takumi craftsmanship philosophy—which values process, diligence, precision, and attention to detail.
Embedded in Every Canvas
Themed “Continuum,” this exhibition showcases the artistry and craftsmanship embedded in every canvas.
The exhibited collection invites visitors to explore the meaning of cultural processes and continuity, while also welcoming February, which coincides with the Chinese New Year celebrations in Indonesia, as captured through Oliver’s unique perspective.
All of the works in this exhibition draw from Oliver’s lived experiences of family traditions and Chinese culture.
Every year, he celebrates moments of togetherness with his extended family by sharing meals, receiving red envelopes, and participating in the lo hei ritual.
Beyond the celebrations, these traditions are present naturally in his daily life. This is depicted in the paintings, which depict lion dances and reunion banquets alongside simple scenes such as dim sum tables, the activities of shopkeepers, and even a relaxed game of mahjong.
The entire work reflects how culture is continuously passed down through togetherness, stories, and everyday habits.
As part of his social responsibility, Oliver will donate 50 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the paintings in the “Continuum” collection to help flood victims in Sibolga, Sumatra, through the KWI (Indonesian Bishops’ Conference).
The funds raised will support a program to build 1,000 housing units for disaster-affected communities.
Through this exhibition, Immersion by Lexus reaffirms its role as a brand space that combines art, culture, and luxury lifestyle.
It also creates an inclusive space for talents with exceptional abilities to create and be widely appreciated. (***)
