Raja Ampat and Four Islands Belonging to Aceh, Seem to Expand the Arena of Complicated

Raja Ampat and the Four Islands Belonging to Aceh which have changed hands to the Province of North Sumatra, seem to want to forget the problem of fencing the sea in the North Coast. Tangerang, Banten is like the impression of a diploma box whose embers are deliberately kept so that they do not go out, as if to cover up the funeral demands for the vice president.

In fact, the letter of agreement obtained by the Atlantica Investigation Team of the Nusantara Institute between the Governor of North Sumatra, Raja Inal Sireger at that time (1992) and the Governor of Aceh, Ibrahim Hasan had agreed on the dispute over the four islands in Singkil, East Aceh which was mediated by the Minister of Home Affairs at that time, General Retired. TNI Rudini.

The agreement produced regarding the resolution of the territorial boundaries between the Province of Aceh and the Province of North Sumatra, that (1) the four islands (Pulau Panjang, Pulau Mangkir Gadang, Pulau Mangkir Ketek and Pulau Lipan) are recognized as part of the Singkil Regency Area, Aceh Province.

Furthermore (2) North Sumatra may no longer claim sovereignty or issue business permits in that area. Then (3) Management of natural resources (fisheries, tourism, etc.) becomes the full right of the Aceh Provincial Government. It is even mentioned (4) that only technical cooperation — such as cross-border marine conservation — may be discussed together. That too, if the Aceh Provincial Government wants.

This agreement was signed in Jakarta, witnessed directly by the Minister of Home Affairs, Rudini and is final and binding. Then how come the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, suddenly issued a decision on the four islands belonging to Aceh Province?

This is a question that is strongly suspected of being related to the diversion of issues from various major cases that are still the public’s attention in this country. Although in political calculations, it is actually stronger to push to overthrow the dynasty that has become a scourge because it has caused various cases, including Pantai Indah Kapuk II which can get SHU and SHM in the sea, and can even be included in the National Strategic Project that has been canceled. But, the practice of sea filling continues, as seen from the convoy of earth-carrying trucks from the South Tangerang area crossing the city center towards North Tangerang, where the PIK II project is located.

More certainly, the case of the dredging of the earth’s contents in Raja Ampat which was handled involving a number of important officials together with the dwarfs of the conglomerates has disappeared until it was considered unnecessary to investigate, the public’s concentration office was divided by fake diplomas and the impeachment of the crown prince of the King of Java who is now about to be crowned as the most recent Prophet.

That’s how a number of cases of coastal reclamation were sunk into the sea. As if the problem could simply be erased from public memory, like the archives that no longer exist at Gajah Mada University which should still be hopeful and maintained, but are difficult to officially declare missing.

The Raja Ampat case also seems to be based on such disappearance, just like various cases of palm oil plantation companies encroaching on forests, or like the Bank Indonesia CSR case which evaporated, there was no resolution until it was clear and finished. The same fate as the Pertamina mixed fuel case, it seems to evaporate in the wind.

Even so, all the cases that have surfaced have not died down, as if they were deliberate to expand the arena of the complex struggle between the people and the oligarchy that is gripping this country. It seems that this is the megathrust and tsunami that will truly inaugurate this country in the near future. Not a disaster that will mark God’s anger.**
