Ahead of Clarification of Alleged Infidelity at the Regional Legislative Council (DPRD), AN’s Attorney Ready to Accompany His Client
INDRAMAYU-JAYA NEWS.COM – Ahead of the clarification hearing scheduled for Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the attorney for DPRD member AN, Ruslandi, S.H., expressed his readiness to assist his client in the proceedings at the Indramayu Regency DPRD’s Ethics Council (BK). This summons was a follow-up to a complaint filed by AN’s husband, IR, regarding alleged violations of the oath and code of ethics as a DPRD member.
Ruslandi revealed that AN had officially appointed him as his attorney on September 30, 2025. He stated that the accusations leveled by IR stemmed from internal issues in their marriage.
“This is a family matter. A husband should be able to keep his marital problems under wraps. Because every problem has a cause and effect, and the truth cannot be relied upon, let alone held by one party,” he said. (10/15/2025)
He emphasized that he would respect all processes within the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) Advisory Council (BK DPRD). “The BK DPRD is a respected institution. We are all obliged to uphold its existence and processes. If an invitation for clarification is issued, my client is ready to attend and provide a statement,” he asserted.
Regarding the allegations of adultery that allegedly occurred in Aceh, Ruslandi called them illogical.
“If they wanted to do something like that, it would be impossible in Aceh, which strictly enforces Islamic law. Even entering a hotel requires proof of marriage and husband and wife identification. So, these accusations are irrational and need to be objectively tested through the legal process, as these are serious allegations,” he explained.
Ruslandi also touched on the evidence submitted by the complainant. According to him, the evidence is the responsibility of the complainant or the accuser.
“If it’s not accompanied by evidence, then it’s just an illusion or a lie and could be sued for slander. However, it’s important to note that we also have sufficient evidence to pursue legal action against Mrs. AN’s husband, regarding allegations of domestic violence, both physical and verbal. I will take this to the Criminal Court,” he said.
He considered the DPRD’s Advisory Council’s (BK DPRD) plan to conduct a site visit if a compromise cannot be reached as part of a proper investigative process.
“As long as it’s to obtain clarity and evidence, we have no objections. In fact, it will strengthen the clarification process,” he said.
Ruslandi also emphasized that domestic issues should not be directly linked to AN’s duties as a DPRD member. “AN was elected by the people. So, if there are personal issues, don’t drag them into the realm of politics or her duties as a representative. Mrs. AN is very beneficial to the people in her constituency. Don’t let her become a tool to politicize the situation…” he concluded.**
