Pasir Pangarayan Prison Attends Tabligh Akbar by Ustadz Abdul Somad on Rokan Hulu’s 26th Anniversary
ROKAN HULU-JAYA NEWS.COM – The Pasir Pangarayan Class IIB Penitentiary attended the Tabligh Akbar (Grand Religious Service) event commemorating the 26th anniversary of Rokan Hulu Regency in 2025, which featured Ustadz Prof. H. Abdul Somad, Lc., D.E.S.A., Ph.D., as a speaker on Saturday (10/11/2025).
The event, held at the Grand Mosque of the Islamic Center, was attended by the Head of the Pasir Pangarayan Prison, Efendi Parlindungan Purba, and was represented by the Head of the Administrative Sub-Division, Suharno. This attendance demonstrated the prison’s support for religious activities and a commitment to strengthening synergy between the prison and the Rokan Hulu Regency Government.
The Head of the Administrative Sub-Division of Pasir Pangarayan Prison expressed his appreciation and hopes for the event.
“Alhamdulillah, we at Pasir Pangarayan Prison are grateful to be able to attend this grand religious gathering. We view this occasion, commemorating the 26th anniversary of Rokan Hulu Regency, as an invitation to continue strengthening ties and togetherness. Hopefully, through this activity, Pasir Pangarayan Prison can further synergize with the Regional Government in creating higher-quality development for inmates,” said Suharno.
This Grand Islamic Outreach activity aligns with the daily instructions of the Minister of Immigration and Corrections, the orders of the Director General of Corrections, and guidance from the Head of the Riau Regional Office of the Directorate General of Corrections. Furthermore, it is hoped that it will provide spiritual encouragement to all participants, including the staff of Pasir Pangarayan Prison, in carrying out their duties of fostering and serving inmates in a more humane and sustainable manner.**
