Sambung Rasa, Pasir PangaraIan Prison Warden Builds Positive Communication with Inmates
PASIR PANGARAIAN-JAYA NEWS.COM – The Head of Pasir Pangaraian Class IIB Penitentiary, Efendi Parlindungan Purba, along with a number of structural officials, held a Sambung Rasa (Community Building) activity with Inmates on Tuesday (October 7, 2025).
Sambung Rasa is an important moment to strengthen communication and build closeness between officers and inmates, as well as a means of conveying information and directly listening to various complaints and aspirations arising from within the residential block.
In his directive, Prison Warden Efendi Parlindungan Purba encouraged all inmates to continue playing an active role in creating a safe and conducive atmosphere and to stay away from drugs and online fraud practices during their time in prison.
“This sambung rasa activity is not just a routine meeting, but a manifestation of our commitment to listening directly to the voices of inmates. We want to ensure that all prison activities run smoothly with the support and active participation of all of you,” Efendi emphasized.
This socialization activity is a routine agenda that is carried out periodically in accordance with the daily orders of the Minister of Immigration and Corrections, orders from the Director General of Corrections and guidance from the Head of the Riau Regional Office of the Directorate General of Corrections and as a form of commitment of Pasir Pangarayan Prison to create an open, humanistic and harmonious correctional environment.**
