La Nyalla Mahmud Mattalitti on “Fictitious Social Assistance Account Crimes,” as revealed by the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), the existence of 10 million dormant accounts for social assistance recipients indicates that 571,410 recipients of social assistance are involved in online loans, online gambling, narcotics, and terrorism.
This statement seems exaggerated, especially since there has been no further investigation, creating a sense of terror and creating social unrest in the community.
Starting with the issue of fictitious social assistance, it clearly creates social jealousy that can trigger unrest, as those who feel they have never received social assistance become angry, as their names may be among those who have been used to receive the fictitious social assistance through accounts in their names that have been exploited by certain parties suspected of being involved. La Nyala Mattalitti’s actions were carried out by a structured, systematic, and massive financial crime syndicate.
This means that the conditions of the poor who deserve social assistance have been severely harmed. They are no longer receiving social assistance, but are instead being deceived by the poverty that plagues them.
Furthermore, the alleged recipients of social assistance through bank accounts themselves can easily be traced to identify the owners and who is using them. If it is suspected that the creation of these fictitious accounts could only be done in collaboration with the issuing banks, it would certainly be very easy to trace by inquiring through the respective bank officers, and proving that the bank accounts are using the identities of the fictitious owners.
The strange thing about a number of these fictitious accounts that are still active—and still able to withdraw funds from the banks in question—is that arrests can actually be made when making withdrawals by collaborating with the issuing banks. Even the banks that issued the fictitious accounts—because they use someone else’s name—can be subject to criminal sanctions for falsifying documents belonging to another person.
Because According to the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), as quoted by La Nyala Mattalitti, these fictitious accounts were used to store incoming funds, which were then withdrawn by unauthorized parties. Therefore, it is strongly suspected that certain parties controlled hundreds of thousands of these accounts. This means that this structured, systematic, and massive organized crime is clearly detrimental to the people, who are simply using their identities to commit these heinous and barbaric crimes. Because the people who are entitled to receive social assistance receive nothing and are simply exploited as a means of escaping an increasingly difficult and severe economic situation.
So the problem is not that the public’s state funds are not being enjoyed by the people, but rather that the government itself has been manipulated by this depraved syndicate, which truly deserves condemnation. It’s no wonder that, in a situation where people are poor and experiencing severe economic hardship—and therefore should and deserve social assistance—they are being subjected to an inhumane greed.
The PPATK’s discovery of this anomaly in the data of social assistance recipients requires investigation, as it is certain that it could only have been carried out by a single criminal syndicate involving numerous parties. If this syndicate isn’t strengthened, the informed public will likely continue to harbor social resentment that will eventually explode, as expressed by those accused of looting after the protests and demonstrations from August 25th to September 3rd, 2025, in Indonesia, resulting in numerous casualties, not only the homes of public figures in this country, but also the deaths of 10 people due to the uncontrollable public anger.
The poor are not unaware of the enormous amount of social assistance funds disbursed by the government for and on behalf of the poor in Indonesia—from 2014 to 2024, as stated by Regional Representative Council member La Nyala Mattalitti, Rp 493.5 trillion for 2024 alone, a 12.4 percent increase from the previous year. And the total disbursement over the past 10 years has reached nearly Rp 4,000 trillion. And the poor are getting poorer, showered with fictitious social assistance that never reaches those who deserve it.
It seems that La Nyala’s cries are Mattalitti, who was exposed on social media and went viral, said his hoarse voice was no longer heard in the parliamentary chamber. And the DPD itself, in its functions and duties, lacks the power to make decisions through parliament.
Except for “barking” while the caravan continues to pass by as it pleases. It’s truly tragic, far more tragic than the common people who are constantly controlled. This is an example: the people are always forced to act independently, despite the risk of being considered subversive, treasonous, or at least causing trouble.**
