On Sunday, August 10, 2025, Truwali Library held a drawing and coloring activity.
Students’ literacy awareness must grow everywhere. Drawing and coloring will foster children’s imagination.
Akhidi, the literacy activist at Truwali Library, explained that coloring provides psychomotor stimulation for children, encouraging them to be innovative and creative.
“This activity aims to hone students’ thinking skills and develop their talents, especially their psychomotor skills, to be more active,” said Ahkidi after guiding the children in coloring.
Siti Al Asaroh, also a literacy activist, echoed this sentiment. She expressed her pleasure at being involved in the literacy awareness campaign. A well-developed environment will raise awareness of the importance of education.
“We must prepare for the future so that we can live in the future. A good environment with guided education will support the birth of a superior generation,” she said.
The S16 Library and the Community Literacy Volunteers (Relima) of the National Library of Indonesia (Perpusnas RI) in Indramayu Regency fully support the literacy movement launched by Pustaka Truwali during the school holidays. Drawing and coloring activities will foster a more colorful imagination in students.
The government is certainly grateful for this initiative, and parents should be grateful for the collective initiative that has made the literacy movement a consistent effort. The more everyone and stakeholders are involved in literacy awareness, the more it will positively impact the literacy ecosystem in Indramayu.*
