Polindra Holds Coding and Artificial Intelligence Training for Elementary and Secondary Educators

The Training Organizing Institution (LPD) of Indramayu State Polytechnic (Polindra) officially opened the Coding and Artificial Intelligence (KKA) Training for elementary and secondary educators.

This training will last for five days, from Monday, July 7, 2025 to Friday, July 11, 2025, and will take place at the Polindra Student Center (GSC) Building.

The Coding and Artificial Intelligence (KKA) activity was opened directly by the Director of Polindra, Ir. Rofan Aziz, S.T., M.T., IPM, along with other directors.

The Director of Indramayu State Polytechnic Polindra Ir. Rofan Aziz S.T., M.T., IPM, through the Chief Executive and Head of the Academic Implementation Unit (UPA) Moh. Ali Fikri M.Kom., to the media crew on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, explained,
this training was attended by 125 participants from various elementary schools (SD) to junior high schools (SMP), both public and private, spread across Indramayu Regency.

“This activity aims to equip educators with basic knowledge in programming and the use of artificial intelligence wisely and effectively,” he said.

Ali Fikri, M.Kom, added that this training is a form of community service and a real contribution from the campus in increasing technological literacy in the elementary education sector.

The Coding and Artificial Intelligence (KKA) Training Activity is part of the program of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen)
Which is mandatory for elementary and secondary schools and SMA/SMK to participate in the Coding and Artificial Intelligence (KKA) Training activity, to send a representative of one of its HR to participate in the Coding and Artificial Intelligence (KKA) Training activity,

“For SMA/SMK in implementing this Training, the Recommendation is from the Provincial KCD while for SD and SMP the Recommendation is from the Education Office,” he said.

And in Indramayu “Alhamdulillah, the only training provider institution (LPD) that has passed the Ministry of Education and Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) is only at the Indramayu State Polytechnic (Polindra) and can carry out Coding and Artificial Intelligence (KKA) activities.

The training is held for five days from Monday to Friday and participants will later receive certificates directly from the Ministry of Education and Primary through the Indramayu State Polytechnic Training Provider Institution (LPD).

It is hoped that with the Coding and Artificial Intelligence (KKA) Activities, teachers can apply the material in their respective schools and can implement the knowledge gained from the Coding and Artificial Intelligence (KKA) training to their students.

Meanwhile, one of the participants representing the Elementary School who participated in the Coding and Artificial Intelligence (KKA) training welcomed and was positive about this training activity, he considered that artificial intelligence could be a very useful tool in the world education, but must still be used critically.

It is important to review the information provided by Al is sometimes inaccurate, therefore teachers still have a key role in filtering and directing the use of technology by students.

“Of course, this activity is very useful for teachers so that it increases knowledge and insight,” he said.
