Minister of Agriculture Attends 53rd Agricultural Krida Day Commemoration in Jakarta
JAKARTA-JAYA NEWS.COM – In order to commemorate the 53rd Agricultural Krida Day (HKP), the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) through the National Extension and Development Agency (BPPSDMP) held a national event themed “Transformation of Agricultural Extension and Development of Agricultural Human Resources for Achieving National Food Self-Sufficiency” at the Kementan Office in Jakarta, Monday, June 30, 2025.
The event was attended by 3,000 agricultural extension workers, Babinsa, Food Brigade (BP), Gapoktan, modern agricultural cooperatives, and students, from all over Indonesia.
In the event, especially West Java, 800 ASN Extension Workers from 14 Regencies and 30 Gapoktan members consisting of Gapoktan Sami Jaya, Mukti Jaya Rahayu, Bangkelung, Jaya Mandiri, Sanca Jaya, Tani Mukti, Karya Bakti, Dewi Mulya, Maja Mulya, Manggala Cakra Wiralodra, Taman Srijaya, Tani Sugih Mukti, Mitra Tani, Srimukti were present.
Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman in his direction said that the momentum of the 53rd HKP commemoration was an important historical record for the national agricultural sector, following the extraordinary achievements in Indonesian food production and security.
“Where, for the first time in the last 57 years or since the establishment of Perum Bulog in 1969, the Government Rice Reserve (CBP) has reached 4 million tons. Until June 2025, Perum Bulog has absorbed more than 2.4 million tons of local rice, jumping more than 400 percent compared to the average absorption in the last five years,” said Minister of Agriculture Amran.
This performance cannot be separated from the strategic ideas and policies of President Prabowo Subianto through the issuance of Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 3 of 2025 concerning the Empowerment of Agricultural Extension Workers in Accelerating the Achievement of Food Self-Sufficiency.
President Prabowo emphasized the importance of efficient fertilizer distribution channels, simplifying regulations, and strengthening farmer capacity as the main keys to national agricultural transformation. This success is the result of mutual cooperation between all parties, namely farmers, extension workers, TNI, Polri, Bulog, local governments, and the private sector.
“This is proof that Indonesian agriculture is on the rise and heading towards true food independence,” said Minister of Agriculture Amran, Monday, June 30, 2025.
In the event, the Minister of Agriculture also launched two strategic programs, Gapoktan as a Subsidized Fertilizer Delivery Point and the Modern Agricultural Food Brigade as a Fuel Distributor. Accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Chair of HKTI, Sudaryono; Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ali Jamil; Special Staff of the Minister of Agriculture for Agricultural Policy, Sam Herodian; Head of the PPSDMP Agency, Idha Widi Arsanti; and representatives of PIHC and Pertamina Patra Niaga.**
