Sharia as a reference for the legal system — rules and guidelines for life that are sourced from the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet covering all aspects of life — from worship, muamalah, ethics to criminal and civil law.
The main elements are belief or faith. Then worship as a rule that regulates the relationship between humans and God, such as prayer, fasting, paying zakat and performing the pilgrimage to Mecca.
Then muamalah, uqubat and ethics and morals. Interestingly, the purpose of sharia itself is to protect religion, soul, mind and descendants as well as property owned. This means that sharia is not just a legal rule, but also as a comprehensive guide to living life with good and correct religious values.
At the next level, there is something called tarekat as a chosen path — or method in Sufism — that humans should take to get closer to Allah in a spiritual way. This tarekat is usually led by a spiritual teacher who is often called mursyid and has the ability to teach, provide practices with certain disciplines that are obtained from generations of guardians or religious figures who are competent in religious matters.
Among its clear characteristics are obedience and the ability to carry out spiritual education, such as fasting — even if not during the month of Ramadan — continuously and diligently improving ethics, morals and ethics by increasing control over lust so as not to be greedy and greedy, let alone wanting to rape the rights of others.
While the next sign is the strength of the bond of togetherness (ukhuwah) in a spiritual community that is harmonious and harmonious, in harmony with the symphony of the earth. So that the goal towards ma’rifat is achieved to merge with the will of Allah which is approved.
Among the well-known orders among religious people are the Qadiriyah, Naqsyabandiyah, Syattariyah and Tijaniyah orders. That is the essence of the order as an expression of spirituality rooted in religion to refine and sensitivity the soul to strengthen the direct relationship between humans and the Creator.
In certain achievements, spiritual practice is able to enter the level of essence in closeness to the Almighty. Such is the main layer of spiritual wandering – which is often referred to by many people as the Sufis – after passing through certain stages of spiritual journey – until finding the real truth or a kind of reality of everything in life in this world.
Based on this spiritual wandering process, humans are able to step on the stages of sharia, order and essence to ma’rifat as the peak of spiritual intelligence that has high intuition to make direct contact with God. If essence as a stage of the spiritual journey has been achieved, then the vibration of spiritual vibration data centered in the depths of the pure heart, then such ability is actually far above all knowledge. Because, the measure of intellectuality is believed by many people to be truly in the care and control of spirituality which is very necessary for the perfection of humans as khalifatullah on earth.
